Contact several assessors to compare availability, fees and what the assessment includes, and confirm that they are currently registered with SEAI. The assessor will inspect your home and calculate its BER based on the property’s features, so the final rating cannot be guaranteed in advance. You can also ask the assessor whether the completed BER certificate will be lodged on the official register.
