First, contact an SEAI-registered One Stop Shop to discuss your home and arrange an initial assessment, which commonly includes a BER review and a survey. The provider can then recommend an upgrade plan, explain estimated costs and available SEAI supports, and issue a quotation for your consideration. If you proceed, the One Stop Shop generally manages the grant application and coordinates the approved works, but you should confirm that grant approval is in place before work starts. After installation, the works are inspected and a post-works BER may be completed before the contractor seeks payment, subject to SEAI’s requirements.
